ALPHA TEST. This is an early build, and things will break.

You've signed up for a paid psychology study. Fifty dollars for 10 minutes of your time. The experimenter says it's about reaction times.

There is a lever. There is a GO button. There is a train.

Twenty trials. Every run is drawn differently, so no two play throughs are the same. You can make whatever choices you like. The experiment requires that you continue.

What this build is

Please Continue is a short pixel-art horror game about the trolley problem, run as an obedience experiment. It's being made for a Steam release, and this alpha is the first time anyone outside the studio is playing it.

- Early stage. Expect bugs, rough edges and placeholder bits.

- Voice acting is coming soon. The experimenter's voice in this build is a temporary computer voice, so please judge the words, not the delivery.

- Art, sound and writing are all still being worked on.

What I'm looking for

All feedback is welcome, and these help most:

- Bugs: anything that broke, froze, looked wrong or didn't respond. Say what you were doing and which trial you were on if you remember.

- Moments: which trials stuck with you, and which fell flat.

- Confusion: anywhere you didn't know what to do.

- Replay: did you want to go again? What would make you?

Please leave a comment below. Screenshots help a lot.

Content warning

Graphic pixel-art violence and death, including people, children and animals, plus themes of coercion and moral distress. Not for everyone.

Please continue.
